One sunny day a tired and thirsty Lord Wind, who lived in a nearby village, called in The Talkhouse to quench his thirst.
As soon as he saw Betty Bottom he fell in love with her there and then.
Within the year they were married and Lord and Lady Wind settled into their beautiful and very large manor houseUnbeknown to Lord Wind, his lovely buxom Betty was already married to Bert Bottom who had gone to sea on a tea clipper some 8 years before and, because she had had no word from him, Betty presumed he was lost at sea and most probably dead.
